WE WERE recently delighted to hear the news that our services to support tenants have been given top marks. At the end of last year our Tenancy Support Service was scrutinised by Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) as part of the Supporting People Quality Assessment Framework (QAF).
That inspection resulted in us being awarded five ‘A’ grades (Standards of Excellence) against the QAF for our support services.
The services help our tenants to maintain a tenancy with us.
The five areas inspected were:
- Assessment & Support Planning
- Security, Health & Safety
- Safeguarding & Protection from Abuse
- Fair Access, Diversity & Inclusion
- Client Involvement & Empowerment
As part of the inspection Matthew Herkes, of LCC’s Supporting People team, interviewed our staff and customers.
Mayflower Lettings and Support Manager Deborah Tempest said: “I was extremely happy with the results achieved by our service.
“Matthew was very impressed with us and stated that we had an excellent staff team who were knowledgeable, experienced and pro-active in their approach to delivering support.
“He also said our customer group was the easiest he had interviewed - and by far the best group he had worked with all year.
“A very big thank-you to the team here, who all deserve it.”

LINCOLNSHIRE Police are warning county residents to be on their guard after people posing as workmen tried to gain access to National Insurance numbers.
Police said the people involved are gaining entry into properties, asking for a drink of water, then looking in the loft.
They then try and sell things to the occupants - which involves taking National Insurance numbers.
If you are approached by this type of seller please refuse to deal with them, and call the police on 101 with their descriptions and that of their vehicles.
Under no circumstances should you divulge your National Insurance Number or bank details.
